What gave you great delight when you were a child? Did you like to twirl until you were dizzy and sick? Float in water? Dance?

I say take back a part of that innocence by incorporating that back into your life--particularly when the world looks ugly. It'll take you back to being childlike and seeing the world with wonder.

Just a suggestion...

Hey Andrea,

It is an amazing idea to talk about ADHD. I found out that I have ADHD on the begining of this year after crashing my car 5 times in a short period of time(4 months, can you believe it?). I live in Brazil and there are a lot of people that still have some prejudice towards the subject. Well, the only way of 'exterminating' the prejudice is talking about them!!! Good Job!!!! Thank you!!!!

Hi Andrea,

I also was "dumped" by a friend--after 5 years of talking daily, going out dancing, family camping trips with two of her four kids and my daughter.
This happened about 5-6 years ago, and I still do not know what happened.
She just stopped returning my calls. Another friend said maybe it was because of her boyfriend, but I met her through him and we were all good friends.
I have other friends and made some new ones over the years, but it still hurts sometimes. Especially when you do not know why.

What a powerful post. I'm so very sorry you lost your beautiful girl. It especially touched my heart because my daughter is 19, very artsy, very much her own person, in her first year of college, and just a few weeks ago realized one of her top 100 things to do - drive a stick shift. I so wish your daughter could have done all the things you wanted - and she wanted - to do. But you have the MOST amazing take on how to define success and yes, you are absolutely right: Adrienne was a champ. Seems like she got that from her mom.

Blessings on you and thank you for allowing this perfect stranger to comment on your life. You touched my heart tonight and taught me something.

I just got back from Hollywood Forever. It felt good being there, spiritually and emotionally. The blue and violet flowers look beautiful and it's a nice way to honor Adrienne.

One of the problems is that people see only the estimated direct cost of HCR – they do not factor in the cost of not passing it. Consider the cost of treating the uninsured in taxpayer supported clinics, hospitals, etc. Add in the productivity lost because the insured are too ill to work and cannot afford to see a doctor. Think of the advantage of a happy and prosperous population versus a group of 36M people who are pessimistic because they realize that personal disaster is dependant upon not slipping on a patch of ice while they are job hunting.

While looking at the polls, consider the fact that we have been barraged by the GOP’s venomous “just say no” attitude – “if we beat him on this, he’s done.” They are not voting against HCR – they are voting against a man who is not in their party.

Third, Obama is right when he says, “It’s the right thing to do.”
